AT & T in its statement surprised with American Idol fans. American Idol fans have been record-breaking 78 million by sending the text message when American Idol contestant to support them this season. AT & T said that text messaging is sent as an important part during the event to get highest contestant vote. AT & T also conducted a poll to the fans about what they send in text messaging for the event. From the 416 people who follow the poll, 50% fans to send text messaging to support their idol, repeatedly, 43% fans to send text messaging their friends to discuss these events took place during the event, and the other 20% stated that they are beginner and learn to send the voting support their idol.
AT & T introduced the text messaging voting began in the second season of American Idol in 2003. During visits to places of origin of the contestant, the producers of the event using text messages to announce the three finalists chosen to continue the competition. The producers also said, will give a lot of themed content such as American Idol Trivia, betting, TXT Chats, and voting, in order to attract more fans.
